Arrow More Details On Guitar Hero 5 Backwards Compatibility Revealed

Fans recently received some good news when Activision revealed that a substantial number of songs from Guitar Hero World Tour and Guitar Hero Smash Hits will be compatible with Guitar Hero 5 and Band Hero. But how will it work exactly?
According to Joystiq, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners who have a copy of World Tour will be able to download a free Guitar Hero 5 update that activates DLC backwards compatibility. Afterward, they will need to purchase what Activision representatives say will be a "nominal re-licensing fee" and input a 20-digit code from the back of the games' manual.
Once that's finished, all songs will be ripped to the systems' hard disks, with players having the option to delete unwanted tracks.
