OK, help me out with Guitar Hero for PC - I bought the Rock Band Special Edition for Xbox that has the USB drums, guitar, and microphone. The guitar only seems to function properly in World Tour - in GH III (haven't tested Aerosmith yet) no matter what settings I do, when I press the green button, it activates the orange fret! They're all backwards! And yes, I played with the lefty flip settings. The xPlorer guitars I have work with all three games. I would really like to get this working, as I just ordered another Harmonix Stratocaster USB off eBay before I ran into this dilemma!

Well, according to this site (Instrument Compatibility // Rock Band), it is only not compatible with GH2 and GH3 - it should work with GH Aerosmith. Doesn't make sense, since both the xPlorer and the Harmonix Strat are calibrated the same way in the game controllers control panel! (Unless the game accesses the controllers directly, and doesn't use the Windows drivers!)

I had the same situation, look this way:
You need to install Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller for Windows Driver 1.1 WHQL. You can find it here
See you!

Even under Windows 7? Also, GH Aerosmith is the same as GH III! So far I can only use the guitar in GH WT. But I downloaded the driver and am going to try that.

Installing the Xbox Windows controller driver for W7 didn't help - still can't play GH III or GH Aerosmith PC version with it - bummer!

Oh, I checked and concluded that you can`t play Rock Band guitar in GHIII and GHA without JoyToKey or Xpadder =(
