Guitar Hero WT Controller issues - PC

Hey there,

I've recently bought Guitar Hero: World Tour for the PC, which works perfectly. However, I've borrowed Guitar Hero 3 from a friend, and for some reason, when I launch GH3, the game won't recognize the Guitar Hero: World Tour controller, even though the PC itself does recognize it.
What am I missing here?
