GHII and Metallica - Issues...I Need Help!!

Hi Everyone! Ok here are my problems, And I hope some one can help!

I have GH Metallica and a redoctane guitar. When I play the game on Single I get a few seconds into a song and it stops with a pop up that says "WARNING ALL CONTROLLERS ARE CONNECTED" Well DUH I'm USING the guitar...Obviously it's connected...I don't have rock band or Anything. Anyway...I've searched the web many times trying to figure out Why it keeps doing this...and I have found that I am Not the only one complaining about this issue. HELP!
The other issue that came up recently is with GH-II (2) It simply won't load anymore. Sometimes it doesn't even Read the disk, other times it gets as far as saying "Playstation" Then goes to black screen...end of story. It played perfectly for a year, now all of a sudden it just flat won't??
I have ordered a new disk, maybe that will solve the problem?? Any help with these issues will be appreciated!
EDIT: Another issue we are having....GHIII won't do Co-op...anyone have a suggestion?
