Can I use my PS2 GH Guitar controllers on a PS3?

Hi Everyone.

I have a PS2 and Kramer Wireless GH guitar controllers. I want to get a PS3 but I had heard that there were some incompatibilities in trying to use PS2 GH guitar controllers with an adapter on a PS3 system.

Has anyone succeeded in getting their PS2 controllers to work on a PS3 with full compatibility?

Also if so are you using a Guitar Hero disc made for PS3 or using a PS2 disc on a downward compatible system? (Mine is a CECHA01 so it is downward compatible. )

They should (again dont take this as gospel) be fine. Failing that check the compatibilty chart.
