Cheats for costumes, and how do I complete careers?

I was wondering if there is any cheat codes to get the costumes of the guitar hero: van halen game to change to the Early VH attire. If not, when it comes to completing a career, (which is what is said to be required to unlock the costumes) how long does it take? I tried for awhile, but it just kept adding songs, and I gave up. How many songs will it add until you complete a career? I want the costumes to change!

If you choose quick play all the songs are displayed.
I'm about 80% through my career, & a few partial outfit changes have been unlocked.
I'll check out other options next time I play.
