Guitar compatability issues?

Hi guys.

First post to this forum, but bound to be first of many.

I bought for my family the Rockband Intruments Bundle for PS3, Lego Rockband and Guitar Hero Rock Legends III. All the instruments work fine on Lego Rockband but on Guitar Hero Rock Legends III the guitar does work properly when playing the actual game. What I mean by that is I can do everything like change options, start the game but when pressing the coloured buttons on the guitar when the song is playing only 2 work and 1 is in a different position. I have tried both left and right hand options to no avail.

Any ideas? I know the guitar works as fine with lego rockband.

Please help as very annoying!!!!
